You're looking at a small picture here, your day to day activities may be neverending change or lead to an everchanging end, but if you see the big picture, that cup of water (your surroundings) is pretty constant, even if all the molecules are still and always will be in motion. Unless I'm completely wrong (I just stumbled upon your blog, while flipping through the blogosphere and haven't read a lot, though that entry piqued my interest and made me think).
